Criteria for Admission
For UG Course
1 :- Should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent examination with one of the following subject combinations:
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or)
- Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
2 :- Eligibility Certificate:
- Candidates, who have passed any qualifying examination other than the Higher Secondary Course examination conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu shall obtain an Eligibility Certificate from TN Dr MGR Medical University and produce the same at the time of admission
For PG Course
- Should have completed 4 years B Sc Optometry or equivalent degree in Optometry
- Desirable: At least two years work experience as Optometrists
A copy of the filled application form along with the required documents should be submitted to Admissions Officer, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Institute of Optometry, Sankara Eye Hospital, Sri Sankara Nagar, Pammal, Chennai along with the payment of Rs 400 /- for UG and Rs 500/- for PG courses. Please use the UPI 9840846815@okbizaxis for payment through G Pay, Phone P, Paytm, etc. DD to be drawn in favour of Sankara Eye Hospital payable at Chennai.
- Last date for submission of completed application forms – 31st August 2022
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview either online or in person.
- Payment of fees on or before – 10th September 2022
- Commencement of Classes will be informed
