Criteria for Admission
For UG Course
1 :- Should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent examination with one of the following subject combinations:
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or)
- Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
2 :- Eligibility Certificate:
- Candidates, who have passed any qualifying examination other than the Higher Secondary Course examination conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu shall obtain an Eligibility Certificate from TN Dr MGR Medical University and produce the same at the time of admission
For PG Course
- Should have completed 4 years B Sc Optometry or equivalent degree in Optometry
- Desirable: At least two years work experience as Optometrists
A copy of the filled application form along with the required documents should be submitted to Admissions Officer, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Institute of Optometry, no. 12, 8th Street Sri Sankara Nagar, Pammal, Chennai 600075 along with the payment of Rs 400 /- for UG and Rs 500/- for PG courses. Please use the UPI services available at the admin office for payment through G Pay, Phone Pay, Paytm, etc. DD to be drawn in favour of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Institute of Optometry payable at Chennai.
- Last date for submission of completed application forms July 31st, 2025
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in person.
- Payment of fees on or before Commencement of Classes.
- Commencement of Classes will be updated for the selected Candidates.
